I want to say a big Thank You to all the staff for helping me through my recent procedure. I can't remember names. From the time I walked in through the door, I was greeted with smiles and escorted to my room. My nurse was very sweet - she explained what to expect and gave me a toasty blanket - that was nice. I want to give her credit for being the first person to put in the IV - I didn't feel it go in. She put me at ease and she's funny. I loved the ride to the OR. I'm not sure how long I was sedated, but when I woke, my nurse was there with me. She asked if I wanted drink something and have a bit to eat, so I said yes the warm blueberry muffin with butter. I want the recipe - it was very good. I love all the workers who put up with me; I felt like a person and not another number.

I recently had a reverse shoulder surgery. We chose Iowa Specialty Hospital because I previously had a positive experience with both knee surgeries done by Dr. Li. We like the information class & the booklet they gave us to refer to in case we forgot things. Everyone was friendly & helpful. Since we live about 70 minutes away, it was great that it was outpatient.
If there was one thing that the hospital staff could have done to better provide me with a "WOW" experience, I do not know what it could be. No excessive waiting, educational from staff, and healing materials were thorough. Everyone was professional, cordial, and respectful. My family was impressed as well. I will be back for another procedure.

I would like to nominate all of your nursing staff, but since I can't, I will nominate Christina Doyle. She was working the day shift when I was in the hospital and was taking care the arrangements for when I left the hospital that afternoon.
She was professional and caring, and she was exact in her nursing practices. She always had a smile on her face, as do all of your employees, and that is impressive.
