- High Fever and Vomiting: Especially if these symptoms persist for hours.

Entrance Locations
The emergency departments in both Belmond and Clarion are level-four trauma centers, offering expert emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
In Belmond, our emergency entrance is located on the west side of Iowa Specialty Hospital.
In Clarion, our emergency entrance is on the north side of Iowa Specialty Hospital, under the canopy.
Iowa Specialty Hospital partners with Clarion, Eagle Grove, Renwick, Belmond, Dows, Hancock, and other area ambulance services, as well as flight teams from Des Moines, Mason City, Waterloo, and Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota, to provide comprehensive critical care to those patients needing more advanced treatment.
