Job Shadowing
Our job shadowing program provides an opportunity for observation of up to 40 hours total over a one week period. All job shadows are accepted based on department availability to accommodate the request.

Requirements & Responsibilities
To ensure that our patients are protected, and students are well prepared, we require each student to complete organizational requirements prior to beginning their job shadow at Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics.
Additional requirements:
- Students need to complete and return the Job Shadow Statement.
- Students need to provide their own transportation to their designated shadowing location.
- Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
- Personal valuables should be left outside the facility.
- Cell phones will not be allowed.
If you are unable to participate on your scheduled shadowing date, please notify Dakota VanHauen, HR Professional, at 515-532-9280 as soon as possible. A no-call, no-show will limit future shadowing opportunities.
