Iowa Specialty Hospital & Clinics offer IV therapy services including:

  • IV Hydration Therapy: When drinking fluids is not enough, we offer this basic service to help patients quickly recover from moderate to severe dehydration. Whether the cause is heat related or due to other medical conditions or medications, the expert staff at all of our locations will get your body the fluid intake it requires with an IV drip.

  • Antibiotic Intravenous Medications: Occasionally an infection requires more than oral prescriptions or a simple injection. For patients needing an effective treatment of a moderate to severe bacterial infection, IV antibiotics are an effective method to combat the bacteria.

  • Intravenous Specialty Medication Infusions: Many of our patients come to us for intravenous medication infusions for certain diseases and chronic health conditions. The treatment of autoimmune diseases and other health conditions with IV-administered medications is often an effective way to manage symptoms and regain a better quality of life for our patients.

  • IV Medications for Osteoporosis: As we age our bones become weaker. Some people, especially postmenopausal women, are at an increased risk for osteoporosis. IV treatments for osteoporosis can help halt bone loss and even increase bone density. If your physician prescribes an IV infusion for osteoporosis to help treat your osteoporosis, Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics can meet your needs.

  • Injections: Occasionally a single IV injection is necessary as part of the overall treatment of a disease or medical condition. Our IV therapy providers have the experience and expertise to make the IV treatment as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

  • Central Venous Line Care: Patients undergoing chemotherapy or frequent IV transfusions for treating a medical condition will often have a central venous catheter to assist in their treatment.
