Be Consistent
One of my greatest lessons as a parent has been learning the importance of consistency. Most of the time when I am struggling with one of the kids and accountability, it is due to a lack of consistency on my part. When the expectations aren’t clear and consistent, then the behaviors won’t be either. That is why parenting can be both exhausting and rewarding all in one day. Consistency is probably one of the hardest parent lessons to master as it requires focus and diligence and honestly, sometimes we just get tired and let it slide.
One of the reasons we are so “passionate” about our standards of behavior at Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics is because of the importance of consistency. Having those behaviors hardwired regardless of which of our locations you visit is essential to building patient loyalty. When our tagline was “consistently exceeding your expectations,” it was a constant reminder that consistency in service and quality care is the expectation of each of our patients. Without that consistency, we would not have been able to accomplish all the things we have over the past 20 years. Thank you for the consistent, exceptional care you provide every day to our patients.
