Be Supportive
We have the great honor of celebrating National Hospital Week this week with the theme – We are Healthcare – Caring for Patients; Strengthening Communities. This week, we also have the privilege of celebrating National Nurses Week with the theme – Nurses Make a Difference: Anytime, Anywhere – Always! I love the themes this year as they definitely represent the unique impact made in healthcare to those we serve. It is also very fitting that we will celebrate the end of the public health emergency this week. It has been a long, tough journey through COVID, and we should definitely celebrate all that was learned and accomplished during that time.
This week’s internal theme of Be Supportive is the perfect kick off to Hospital and Nurses Week. Daily at Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics, we support our patients and families as they navigate the bumpy road of healthcare. This includes many of the most amazing moments in their lives to some of the most heartbreaking moments in their lives. Through it all, the care, compassion and support provided by our teams make the journey so much easier for our patients. Take time this week to thank each other and lift each other up. This is the time to celebrate each of you for being so inspirational and for the difference you make every day. #WeAreHealthcare
