Amy's Reflections
"Don't rush anything. When the time is right, it'll happen." ~ Anonymous
This past week, we took a road trip to Arizona to see a horse. Sometimes, you just embrace the adventure and take the journey. Maleigha has been looking at this horse and talking to the owner since November, but it seemed like it wouldn't work out. I had tried to convince her to let it go and move on, but to no avail; she couldn't get this horse out of her mind. The timing finally worked out, and the owner was looking for a connection with the horse, so she would only sell him if there was a strong connection. We took a massive risk by driving out there with a trailer, believing that Maleigha would connect with this horse. It was love at first sight, and they connected instantly. She is the proud owner of Limitless PA, a beautiful Arabian horse.
We learned several lessons from that adventure. First, if it is meant to be, it will work out. I firmly believe that everything happens for a reason, even if you don't think so at the time. Second, if it is worth having, it is worth taking the risk. Third and finally, don't rush; sometimes patience is necessary to achieve the end goal. I am grateful to work for an organization where I have had the opportunity to learn these lessons multiple times over the years. One of our greatest strengths is the ability to pivot quickly and take the risk. Believe in the impossible, and it may just become your reality.
