Advice from the Ocean: Be shore of yourself. Come out of your shell. Take time to coast. Avoid pier pressure. Sea life’s beauty. Make waves. 

We are at the height of graduation season right now. It is a fun and exciting time for those ready for the next adventure. However, this time is bittersweet for parents. It is what you have been working towards for 18 years of parenting, but it can be hard to let go and let them spread their wings. Kudos to all those moms out there who are shedding tears this month as they face graduation. You have done a fantastic job, and they will flourish in their next adventure; you can let go now. 

We are fortunate at Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics to have navigated many adventures. Some felt like severe storms, and some were calm balmy days, but through it all, we weathered it together. Our ability to pull together and stay focused on the patient creates a smooth journey, whether we are sailing a cruise ship or a pirate ship. I am grateful for the strength of our ISH team and thank you for helping us navigate our course.
