Maleigha is going to participate in the Iowa Horse Fair Cowgirl Queen Contest coming up at the end of March. One of the things they get to do is decorate posters to share a little more about themselves and their horse. This year, we have decided that her theme will be the power of positivity, so we have been working through different ideas for decorations. We ordered a bunch of inspirational stickers to use on the posters and several of them really hit home for me. One of them was “if you dream it, you can achieve it”. This is fitting for Maleigha and the spirit I want her to take into this contest. On any given day with the right mindset, a little creativity, and a little innovation - nothing is out of reach.
One of the things that have always set ISH apart from other healthcare organizations is our ability to be innovative and seize the opportunities as they present themselves to us. This has allowed us to remain agile and respond timely to some of the significant challenges in healthcare over the last several years. We even added an innovator award to our ISH awards to recognize those trailblazers who have a vision for what can be and continue to push or pull us along until we achieve it. Our first innovator award went to Dr. Gabrielson who always had a clear vision of what he could build and what we could accomplish together. Thankfully our team is filled with innovative spirits who are constantly looking for ways to grow and improve for the patients we serve. My challenge for you this week is to think beyond the limits and imagine the impossible. If you can dream it, we can probably achieve it.
