This quote made me stop and think about this journey we call life and where we find joy and happiness. It is often in the small moments, the quiet moments, where we experience the greatest joys. Frequently, we wait for grand gestures to bring us joy, like winning the lottery or taking a vacation, and we overlook the little joys we encounter on any given day. I recently went on vacation and was sick the entire time. I have found myself sharing that part of the trip when people asked me about the vacation more than all the beautiful moments we had as a family. I need to refocus my perspective!
My challenge for you this week is to refocus your perspective and find joy and happiness in the little things and moments that we take for granted each day. I know you are creating joyful moments in our patients’ lives with the kindness, caring, and compassion you show in your work every day. My wish for you is that you also find that joy in your daily lives. Thank you for all you do and the joy you bring to others; may you receive it back tenfold!
