It’s not unusual to have four newborns in the nursery at Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics at any one time. However, it is unusual for those four babies to belong to only two families.
On Sunday, November 4th, Lillian and Michael MacDormott were born to parents, Kendra and Joseph. Lillian weighed in at 5 lbs 6 oz and Michael was 5 lbs 13 oz. They will join siblings, Lexus and Lea, at home.
Christopher and Cayden Smith were born on Monday, November 5th to parents, Taris and Christopher. The first children of the family, Cayden weighed 4 lbs 15 oz and Christopher weighed 4 lbs 14 oz. 
Providers Dan Gabrielson, Emily Hill, Amanda Tew, Caleb Aswegen, and Regina Reedy were involved in the deliveries of the MacDormott and Smith twins.
