The Cardiopulmonary Department at Iowa Specialty Hospital recently received a donation from the Iowa Specialty Hospital Foundation – Clarion toward the purchase of two infant car seat monitors.
The Masimo SET Infant Car Seat Monitors allow ISH Respiratory Therapists the ability to monitor newborn babies to assure that they can safely travel in car seats, which is very important as some of the babies being monitored are premature or have low birth weights.
“The peace of mind that this allows us, as well as the parents, is immeasurable,” says Lisa Keul, ISH Cardiopulmonary Department Leader. “As our facility continues to deliver more and more babies each year, the need for this service will continue to grow. We are so very grateful for the kindness and generosity of our Foundation to allow us to offer such a wonderful and much needed service to our families. We thank all of you, from the bottoms of our hearts, for your amazing gift.”
