ISH-Belmond and ISH-Clarion Receive Five Star Rating As A Top Hospital In Iowa For Nurse Communication
Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond and Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion both recently received a five-star rating as a top hospital in Iowa for nurse communications by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The two hospitals were among 16 hospitals in Iowa chosen for this recognition.
350 hospitals were ranked as the best in the nation for their nurse communications, according to CMS' Provider Data Catalog.
CMS shares 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. The nurse communication star rating combines data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes how well patients feel that their nurses explained things clearly, listened carefully to the patient, and treated the patient with courtesy and respect.
The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients in the calendar year 2022. The figures were released on November 8, 2023.
