ISH-Belmond and ISH-Clarion Receive Five Star Rating As A Top Hospital For Staff Responsiveness
Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond and Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion both recently received a five-star rating as a top hospital in Iowa for staff responsiveness by Becker’s Hospital Review.
The two hospitals were among eight hospitals in Iowa chosen for this recognition.
351 hospitals were ranked as the best in the nation for their staff responsiveness, according to CMS' Provider Data Catalog.
CMS shares 10 Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. The staff responsiveness star rating combines data from two HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes how quickly patients felt they received help after pressing the call button or asking for help to use the restroom or a bedpan.
The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients from October 2022 through September 2023. The figures are from CMS' Provider Data Catalog and were released July 31, 2024.
