ISH-Belmond and ISH-Clarion Receive Five Star Rating As A Top Hospital For Care Transitions

Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond and Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion both recently received a five-star rating as a top hospital in Iowa for care transitions, per CMS, by Becker’s Hospital Review.

The two hospitals were among nine hospitals in Iowa chosen for this recognition.

189 hospitals were ranked as the best in the nation for their care transitions, according to CMS' Provider Data Catalog. 

CMS' "Patient survey (HCAHPS)-Hospital" database listed hospital ratings based on the Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems survey. This is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients about their experience during a recent inpatient hospital stay. The survey was completed between October 2022 and September 2023. The data was last updated July 31.
