Samuel Memmelaar, DPM, Joins Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics Podiatry Team

Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics is pleased to welcome   Dr. Samuel Memmelaar to its growing team of podiatry and foot & ankle surgery specialists. 

Dr. Memmelaar specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. His medical interests include foot and ankle surgery and reconstruction, trauma, sports medicine, total ankle replacement, ankle arthroscopy, and minimally invasive surgical techniques. He is committed to helping patients of all ages—from athletes and active adults to individuals managing chronic foot and ankle conditions—return to the activities they enjoy. 

Dr. Memmelaar works closely with each patient to develop an individualized care plan, beginning with non-surgical treatment whenever appropriate and recommending advanced surgical options when they provide the best path to recovery. “My medical philosophy is to deliver comprehensive foot and ankle care tailored to each patient,” stated Dr. Memmelaar, “emphasizing conservative management and offering surgical interventions when necessary.
