Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics Continues DNV Accreditation and Achieves ISO 9001 Certification
Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics (ISH) announces it has successfully maintained its hospital accreditation through DNV Healthcare USA and has also achieved certification to the internationally recognized ISO 9001 Quality Management System standard.
ISH has been continuously accredited by DNV since 2013, completing annual surveys and multiple reaccreditation cycles, demonstrating ongoing compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation established by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS). The recent survey confirmed continued adherence to patient safety and quality standards while also recognizing the organization’s established quality management system.
Unlike traditional accreditation models, DNV’s National Integrated Accreditation for Healthcare Organizations (NIAHO®) program incorporates ISO 9001 principles into hospital operations. Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics has now advanced beyond integration to full certification, validating a system-wide approach to continuous improvement, risk management, and performance measurement.
