Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics is proud to report that a record-breaking number of babies were delivered at their Clarion facility in 2025. With 711 babies born in 2025, ISH Maternity Center saw numbers steadily increase over other recent years. This number includes 10 sets of twins, 368 boys, and 343 girls. The top five names for girls born at ISH in 2025 were Abigail, Sutton, Henley, Aurora, and Sadie. The top five names for boys born at ISH in 2025 were Liam, Arlo, Waylon, Hayes, and Noah.
“Delivering a record 711 babies this year is a remarkable achievement and a true reflection of the skill, teamwork, and dedication of our obstetric team,” stated Brittney Schafer, OB Leader. “This milestone speaks to the commitment of our ISH staff who show up every day with professionalism and heart.”
In 2024, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 632 babies, which at that time was the most babies ever delivered at the facility in a year. In 2023, 594 babies were delivered, and in 2022, 612 babies were delivered. This uptick in deliveries led ISH to expand and remodel its labor and delivery suites recently. Patients and families have reported that the new suites are more expansive and even more welcoming than before.
