Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion Receives Five-Star Rating as Top Hospital in Iowa Patients Would Recommend

Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion recently received a five-star rating as a top hospital in Iowa that patients would recommend by Becker’s Hospital Review.

765 hospitals in the nation were recommended for this distinction, according to CMS' Provider Data Catalog.  The hospital was among 21 hospitals in Iowa chosen for this recognition.

CMS created 10 HCAHPS star ratings based on publicly reported HCAHPS measures. The patient recommendation star rating combines data from three HCAHPS survey questions and summarizes if patients would recommend the system to their friends and family. The star rating is based on survey data collected from hospital patients between July 1, 2024, and June 30, 2025. The figures are from CMS’ Provider Data Catalog and were released May 13, 2026

Last year, 747 hospitals received a five-star rating for patient recommendation.
