Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion Partners with CGD School's for 15th Annual Healthiest State Walk
On Wednesday, October 1, Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion, partnering with Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Schools, will host the 15th Annual Healthiest State Walk. This event, as developed by the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative, is designed as an opportunity to join thousands of other Iowans across the state in walking for 30 minutes to raise awareness of the importance of physical and mental well-being in Iowa. 
The walk, which is free to the public, will take place at the CGD football field and track beginning at 7:00pm, but participants are welcome to arrive beginning at 6:30pm for pre-walk activities. Several local organizations, including Iowa Specialty Hospital providers and staff, will be on hand throughout the event with healthy, helpful information for all in attendance. While strollers are welcome on the track during the walk, pets will not be allowed. Following the walk, giveaway items will be available for all walk participants.
“We’re proud to partner with Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Schools to host a Healthiest State Walk here in Clarion,” said Brooke Nerlien, RN, Diabetes Educator and Employee Wellness Leader at Iowa Specialty Hospitals & Clinics. “The goal is to get a registered walk in each of Iowa’s 99 counties. This event is a powerful reminder that small steps—like a 30-minute walk—can lead to big changes in our physical and mental well-being. We’re hopeful for a great turnout and excited to see our community come together in support of healthier lives for all Iowans.”
