First Baby of 2025

Iowa Specialty Hospital is proud to announce the birth of its first baby of 2025.  Theodore Miles Getting, son of Erica and Nicholas Getting of Webster City, was born on January 1, 2025, at 8:12 a.m.  Theodore weighed 9 pounds, 0.05 ounces, was 21 inches long, and had hazel eyes.

Theodore joins two siblings at home; Thomas, age 7, and Declan, age 2. 

“We are excited to announce the first baby of the new year!” stated Brittney Schafer, OB Leader. “While 2024 comes to a close, our department reached a record year of deliveries. As the new year is upon us, our OB team continues to strive to provide exceptional care to our patients!”

In 2024, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 632 babies, which is the most ever delivered at the facility in one year.
