Doctors Share In Special Delivery Experience
On November 8th, at 8:00 a.m. Dr. Andrea McLoughlin delivered Robin Ava Paulus to proud parents, Robert and Rachel Paulus. 
Baby Robin was 7 lbs 13 oz in weight and was 20 inches long.
The delivery has a unique aspect in that Dr. Jon Ahrendsen, who is Dr. McLoughlin’s father and who assisted with Robin’s birth, also delivered the baby’s mother, Rachel, 26 years ago.
“We didn’t know it until after the fact,” said Dr. McLoughlin, “but it’s a neat connection both personally and professionally.”
Dr. Ahrendsen added, “This is one of the special privileges and joys of practicing family medicine in a rural community.”
