600th Baby of 2024
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s 600th baby of 2024, Angel Naaman Lopez Martin, was born on December 15th at 4:04 in the afternoon to parents Raquel Martin Diaz and Edilsar Lopez Martin. Baby Angel weighed 6 pounds 4.0 ounces, was 19 inches in length, and had black hair and brown eyes.
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located at its Clarion campus. “This is the time of year that you reflect and give thanks for all of the many blessings that have been bestowed to you over this time,” stated Jenn Mewes, OB Leader. “Here at ISH we are very grateful for the many babies that have been born into our family and wish each and every one of you a joyous holiday season.” 
In 2023, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 594 babies, which was one of the most babies ever delivered at the facility in a year. They have currently surpassed that total.
