Only hospital to be recognized nationwide with seven prestigious awards for patient satisfaction
The highest achieving hospital in the nation year after year, Iowa Specialty Hospital was recently recognized with seven Press Ganey Summit Awards for excellence in both quality of care and patient satisfaction for 2012.
One of the healthcare industry's most coveted symbols of achievement, the Summit Award recognizes top-performing facilities that sustain the highest levels of patient satisfaction for three consecutive years. One of only 101 hospitals in the country to receive a Summit Award in patient satisfaction, Iowa Specialty Hospital is the only hospital in the country to have received seven of the prestigious awards.
“With both our Belmond and Clarion campuses contributing to our total award count, we’ve set Iowa Specialty Hospital apart from any other hospital in the nation in terms of patient satisfaction at both locations,” Nancy Gabrielson, chief executive officer of Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond says.
Iowa Specialty Hospital-Clarion ranked at or above the 95th percentile in the Press Ganey database for the past three years in the areas of ambulatory surgery, emergency department, inpatient, medical hospital and outpatient services, while Iowa Specialty Hospital-Belmond reached the same level of recognition for its emergency department and inpatient services.
