Lana Krukow - Daisy Award

On July 10th, 2024, following back surgery with Dr Palit in Clarion, Iowa, I was returned to my patient room in a state of helplessness. This being my first surgery in 77 years (hopefully my last) left me with questions and fears about my first night post op. —  No FEAR ! — All of the staff during my stay were very accommodating, but my first night I developed a trust with my RN, Lana Krukow. She extinguished any extra pain I thought I had and was patient with me when my plumbing was slow to recover. She made me feel like family. It was truly a pleasure to have Lana as my caregiver on the 10th and 11th, and I would like to nominate her for the Daisy Award.
