Cheers to Good Health...

Iowa Specialty Hospital's Nutrition Services are provided by registered dietitians, clinical nutritionists, and culinary professionals who assist patients and families through program education, planning daily nutritional intake, and monitoring overall nutritional well-being. We provide nutrition services to inpatients, outpatients, and the community.

  • Certified O.P. Diabetes Education Program (reimbursable through Medicare)
  • Outpatient Dietary Counseling
  • Inpatient Screening and Consults
  • Patient and Employee Meals
  • Weight Management Program

Meal Service Times

Patients

Meal service for hospital inpatients begins with breakfast at 7:00 a.m., lunch at 11:30 a.m., and dinner at 5:00 p.m. Between meal services are available by request from the nurses' station.

Breakfast 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. 7 days/week
Hot Lunch 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. 7 days/week
Cold Lunch/Snacks 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday
Dinner 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday-Friday

 Note: At our Belmond Campus, light meals, chef salads, and wraps are available upon request after 7:00 p.m. at the Nurses Station. 

Meals on Wheels/Congregate Meals

Meals on Wheels registration or questions regarding Meals on Wheels or Congregate Meals in Clarion should be directed to Nutrition Services at (515) 532-9270.
