Beyond Amazing

I had a hysterectomy with Dr. McIntire from the Gabrielson Clinic. As a nurse, I love working at Iowa Specialty Hospital, but I know there can be struggles being in the role of the patient. My experience as a patient was beyond amazing! My nurses, Jes Mercado and Leigh Bycroft, were absolutely wonderful; attentive to my needs and never made me feel like a burden. The kitchen and lab staff were all respectful. Dr. McIntire made sure to stop by and check on me and that my needs were being met. It was a truly humbling experience to be a part of. Reinforces that Iowa Specialty is both a great place to work, but also where I would want any one that I know to receive care.
