Thoughts from Holly

March 11, 2019

Happy March everyone!!  We are officially 14 days away from spring; Daylight saving time began yesterday at 2:00 a.m., and we get to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day this month.   Holy Buckets…we have so much to cheer for right now.  We are going to make it out of this dreadful Iowa WINTER of 2019.

Spring is a time of new growth and beginnings.  Every Spring I always wonder which of my perennials I will need to replant from the prior year that didn’t make it from last year and maybe try something new for a change.  We need to look at healthcare and our own lives the same way.  Change is inevitable and good…right???  Yes that is 100% correct.

We will have one of the biggest changes of our lives that we are preparing for at our house this spring.  We are planning to be empty nesters.  I am not looking forward to this at all.  We thought we were smart to strategically plan to have our boys close together.  Up until the last couple of years this has been great, however now I wish we would have spread them out just a bit.  We have to prepare for both of them leaving the house back to back, but change is good and we are so excited for them to move on to college and start to experience the best times of their lives.

If you don’t know me very well, I don’t like to sit and do nothing so I have already committed to be on a board as I am petrified that I will be bored once both the boys leave but I am assured that it will be okay.
