Thoughts from Holly

July 26, 2021

I hope everyone is having a great summer!!  Hard to believe that it is almost the end of July.  Flowers are beautiful, lawns are luscious and green, and I am pretty sure I heard a locust over the 4th of July weekend and have been hearing them ever since.  What does this mean?

According to folk legend, when you hear the first song of the dog-day cicadas (locust), it means there’s just six weeks until frost.

I sure do hope that folk legend does not happen this year…I am definitely not a fan of cold weather, however I try to make the best of it every year to live and work in the Midwest.  I wouldn’t have wanted to grow up and raise my boys anywhere else!!

I am currently reading a book, and it has really opened my eyes to be sure that I am living my best life and following my dreams. I really can’t tell you the last time that I have discussed my dreams with anyone.  It made me realize how important it is to have those special and meaningful conversations with my family and/or those that are close to me.  I want to be sure that I listen to what they are telling me, whether it’s my husband, my boys, my mom, or my close friends.  It is so important to listen and also be able to share my dreams with everyone as well.

Enjoy the rest of your summer and be sure to dream and share those with others!!
