July is almost a third over and I saw back to school supplies out already. This means that summer will soon be coming to an end and the kids will be back in school. The schedules will pick back up and the days will be spent running to different school events and practices, I’m not really looking forward to it. I will say that I am somewhat enjoying the laid back summer schedule.
As we begin preparing for school my children and I have come up with goals and expectations for this next year. The goals are attainable and each has a specific prize if accomplished. Last year was a little tough with a lot of learning opportunities, but I’m hoping this year with clear goals set out for each of them it will be a smoother academic year.
Organizationally we are at that time of year again where we to are setting our personal goals for the next year. As you develop these goals make sure they’re attainable and clearly defined. Ambiguity will lead to unachievable results. At the same time make sure you plan a “prize” for yourself once you have reached your goals to continue to incentivize yourself to push through the tough spots.
Enjoy the next few weeks before the kids are back to school or off to college. Take some time to recharge and prepare for the busy schedules that lie ahead.
