It seems like spring is almost here. The temperatures are coming up and the sun seems to be shining just a little brighter.
This weekend we took the kids and two nephews snow tubing in Boone. We had a blast. The weather was warm and it made for a great day. The kids were able to be outside for hours getting much needed exercise. As for me I spent most of the day running after my two year nephew, who wore me out, and sadly long before he was ready to be done.
I have been wearing my step counter pretty religiously and, I must say, I have really fallen off the last couple of months. I have been eating terribly and pretty sure I’m living on Mountain Dew. This weekend has pushed me to once again realize that I need to make some changes for my own health so I can continue to keep up with the kids.
As we get warmer days and the sun is out longer I encourage you to get outside. Find an activity you enjoy and spend time in the great outdoors. I’m looking forward to summer and, hopefully, I can get in a little better shape so I can get more enjoyment out of running with the kids.
