As we look forward to 2015 and a new year, we have so much to be excited about in health care. This next year will include an even greater focus on population health and making sure our patients have the best preventative care. I look forward to even more alignment as a system and working toward the same goals and the same targets. I have seen some amazing teamwork this past year between departments and facilities, and I look forward to this becoming our new normal. We truly need to work very closely together as that is our guarantee for success. Think back to the video of the geese at the last QEM. When we take turns taking the lead and we support each other in reaching our goals, we can go so much farther. I recently saw an African Proverb quote, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” I am so excited for the journey, and I look forward to going far with all of you. Let’s enjoy the ride and make the most of 2015!
