Jesus was walking with his disciples and they came upon a blind man by the side of the road. They asked Jesus, “was it the sin of this man or his parents that causes him to be blind?” Neither, Jesus replied. He is blind so that he could fulfill God’s purpose. At that moment Jesus rubbed mud on the man’s eye’s and he could see.
Remember there is a purpose for your struggles. Look for the lessons and the opportunities in all of it. Try to handle difficult times with grace and patience. Along about now winter starts to get long in the Midwest. Take every opportunity you can to make someone’s day. Be kind. Be warm. Who knows, we may be more effective at ending winter than the groundhog.
“You can’t go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.” C.S. Lewis
