I love this time of year. Not because of the small amounts of dirty snow still on the ground or the muddiness it brings, but because of the anticipation of green grass, more sunny days, and the warmth that is sure to come. I love warm and sunny locations such as Florida, and pretty much any place south of here with a beach and ocean waters. I have often thought about what it would be like to live in a place where the beach was in my back yard. It seems like the dream life, but then I realize that Iowa is my home and I am loyal to it. For many reasons, but mainly because this is the state I grew up in, and it is a great state to raise a family in; the people are nice, it is beautiful even in the winter, and I have some great friends and family near. Plus, if I lived near the beach then I would probably take it for granted.
There are many ways in our lives that we demonstrate loyalty. Whether this is being loyal to a small business and buying all of your clothes from that business or being loyal to ISH. I have seen many employees demonstrate their loyalty to ISH. Examples of this include being engaged in our day-to-day work, speaking highly and managing up our organization and co-workers, and seeking out ways to be part of the solutions especially in some challenging financial times. I see all of these things every day, and we will come out stronger because of them.
