Amy's Reflections

March 1, 2021

Maleigha started softball practice this past week. It is a traveling team which means a variety of kids from different communities are all participating. I was talking to another parent this week, and we both agreed it was nice to have this opportunity for our kids to make friends outside of their class and their school, as it broadens their horizons and force them out of their comfort zones. She may have been a little nervous going into the practice because some of the girls are older, but she was so excited when she got home as she made a bunch of new friends.

Interestingly enough, we utilize the same concept when we round on staff in our system.  From an administrative standpoint, we definitely want to make sure each staff person who we meet with has the tools and equipment they need to do their jobs. The even bigger goal of rounding though is to meet people outside of our normal circle and expand our relationships. We put rounding on the back burner during the pandemic for obvious reasons. Since we are so much more adept at zoom now, we are ready to dive back in and continue to build relationships with our employees. Steve and I would love to touch base with you, so if you are interested in building those relationships feel free to reach out and let us know. We look forward to it!
