“Change your thoughts and you change your world” – Norman Vincent Peale

The month of July brings many things from hot sunny days to the 4th of July celebration and fireworks to cherished summer memories. Thank you to everyone that came out to walk/ride in the Belmond parade. It was incredibly hot but always a great time seeing familiar faces in the crowd. Hopefully everyone had a nice 4th of July and was able to stay cool. Rick shared with the kids that when they grow up and get married that he is staking a claim on the 4th of July as a family holiday. He loves cooking and having everyone together and then ending with watching the fireworks. We hope this will become our family tradition. Hopefully everyone was able to enjoy some piece of the 4th of July with friends and family.

On the opposite end of traditions is change. The month of July also brought change to our system with the enforcement of the co-pay collections at the time of service. I know we are getting a lot of feedback with patients that are not happy with this change but this is very important to our system and something that we have needed to do for a long time. I have seen a lot of you clarifying on Facebook the why behind the change and I can’t thank you enough. We have always expected people to pay a co-pay at the time of service we are just really enforcing it now. With the significant rise in high deductible plans it is imperative to start to collect some of those funds at the time of service. If you have questions or have patients with questions please refer them to the business office. Like any change this will take some time for our patients to adapt. We appreciate the support and thank the registration staff for their patience and positivity during this transition.

“The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress” – Charles Kettering
