October tends to be a pretty busy month for our family. I personally hit a big milestone this month as I turned 50. Not quite sure how I feel about that yet, although I did have to appreciate the benefit of having older children. Jacob made me breakfast in bed with eggs, bacon and coffee. Rick and I will celebrate our 23rd wedding anniversary on the 23rd, and then Rick’s birthday is on the 29th. Lots of things to be grateful for this fall for our family. 

As many of you know, I have been bombarding your email with questions regarding student loans. There a few programs available right now for those that have student loan debt that I want to make sure our staff knows about:

• Biden Administration Loan Forgiveness – very simple application process where you could qualify for up to $10,000 in forgiveness or up to $20,000 if you have had a Pell Grant. https://studentaid.gov/debt-relief/application
• Public Service Loan Forgiveness – this one is for individuals that have worked in public service for 10 years and have made 120 payments on their student loans. Both Belmond and Clarion are qualifying employers for this one.
