Hopefully everyone enjoyed the 4th of July weekend and were able to spend some time either outdoors soaking up some sun or spending time with family and friends. We headed to Missouri for the weekend to celebrate the life of my very dear uncle that passed away this past year. It was bittersweet as I had so many family vacations to my aunt and uncle’s house and was able to continue that tradition with my kids. It was definitely difficult to close that chapter in my life, but a wonderful opportunity to share memories and funny stories and to see the impact he made in so many lives.
The month of July means that we have successfully completed another fiscal year at Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics. What a year it has been! As we wrap up another fiscal year it is once again time to complete those self-evaluations. It is a great opportunity to reflect on how you feel you have contributed this past year and how you see yourself contributing this next year. This past year was filled with new challenges, and I encourage you to share with your leaders how you personally feel you rose to meet these challenges. I also challenge you to reflect on what your passionate about and as work on setting your personal goals for this next year - make those goals meaningful and structure them so that they support you chasing your dreams.
