Amy's Reflections

February 14, 2022

As you may remember, we got a new puppy in January. He is a champagne lab that we named Whiskey. He is incredibly cute and really has done pretty well settling in, and our other dog, Oakley, is absolutely over the moon to have a friend to play with. I am sure at some point they will destroy our house, but I am so thankful that they get along. One of the many joys of having a puppy is trying to potty train them. Some days are better than others and I know eventually we will get there, but I am long past getting up in the middle to the night with the kids so this has been a real challenge for me. So, if you find texts, emails or messages from me at odd hours of the night, rest assured that I am the lightest sleeper in the house and I am up with the puppy; I haven’t lost my mind.

We were able to complete our quarterly off-site leadership training this week and spent time learning about different personalities and communication styles. We also had a chance to review our strategic plan for the next year and then look at our three year targets. This is always exciting for me because when we update the strategic plan, we often find that we have already accomplished some of our three year goals and we get to be even more creative. Along those same lines, I always find the LDIs refreshing because it gives us a chance to reconnect with each other and problem solve as a team. We truly are stronger together, and thankfully we have one of the most incredible teams in the nation. Thank you for all that you do to help support each other, our patients and the amazing care we provide. Thank you for living your calling!
