A Word from Cindy

October 17, 2022

Fall - another changing of the seasons. For some, it is the best time of the year as we go into cooler weather, pumpkin spice, changing of the leaves, and harvest. Like the change of seasons, we have many changes happening throughout the organization. The construction project at the Clarion campus brings a lot of change for the specialty clinics and the OB department. How nice it will be to have a true OB suite? Please continue to watch as we post up dated photos of the changes as the construction progresses. We are also anticipating a big change for the Iowa Weight Loss team as they are getting ready to open the doors of their new space in November; photos will be coming of this space closer to opening. In Belmond, we will soon be accepting bids for the addition of an MRI and additional outpatient bays. Drawings of this new space will be out soon. Both of these projects are greatly needed by these very busy departments and will be a huge benefit to our patients. There are many other projects in the works so continue to watch the newsletter for updates. The one certainty for Iowa Specialty is that we are in a constant state of change as we continue to grow.

This fall also brings a lot of change for my family as we are moving to a new home. We have lived in our current home for many years, so now is the time for downsizing. I am not sure how you can accumulate so much stuff over the years, but I have managed to do just that! I think they say if you haven’t touched it in the last year, then it is time to part with it. Sometimes that can be hard to do, but remember you can cherish memories without the material things. I thought this quote below was very fitting for what is happening right now.

Notice how the trees do not cling to their leaves. Fall is about releasing the old to make way for the new.
