Happy New Year!! This week we will be hosting a DNV surveyor for our Advanced Orthopedic and Spine Certification. We know our teams do a great job because our patients tell us we do, but how do we really know? By participating in this survey, and achieving Orthopedic & Spine Center of Excellence designation, we can be sure that our organization is achieving excellence across all diagnostic, surgical, and therapy services in relation to the orthopedic and spine care programs. We participate in a similar type of survey and certification for our bariatric program.
So, this week we, a diverse team of ISH employees, will spend three days with a surveyor who will focus on review of the processes across the continuum of care that contribute to positive outcomes and support performance improvement for our orthopedic and spine program. As we look at the continuum of care, we know that it takes a village to keep all areas of these programs moving forward. This week we plan to prove that we have a program that meets all standards and deserves to be a Center of Excellence.
As you read in Steve’s article, the word we are focusing on is Balanced. At med staff, we watched a video and the speaker talked about having balance in your life. He shared that we should be working to live, not living to work. Think about that. We have a great team at ISH who makes it possible to achieve excellence in our programs. Without all these great people at their best, we would not be able to achieve the awesome things that happen every day at ISH. Thank you for bringing your best to ISH.
