Iowa Specialty Hospitals and Clinics (ISH) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kevin Rier, Dr. Steven Thoma, Dr. Timothy Mulholland and Dr. Christopher Adams are now providing urology services to our Belmond and Clarion Specialty Clinics. This team comes to ISH from the Mason City Clinic in Mason City, Iowa and will be taking appointments on a monthly rotating basis.
According to Ashley Recknor, ISH Senior Leader for the specialty clinics, “We are extremely excited to partner with Dr. Rier, a Clarion native, and his entire team to bring high quality urology care to Iowa Specialty Hospital and Clinics.”
Dr. Kevin Rier will be seeing patients in the Belmond and Clarion Specialty Clinics. He is Board Certified in Urology and has clinical interests in prostate and kidney cancers, stone disease, robotic surgery, vasectomy and pediatric urology. Dr. Rier chose urology because it is a nice mix of clinical and surgical medicine. He likes being able to definitively help people with specific urologic problems. He specifically enjoys taking care of cancer patients.
Dr. Steven Thoma will be seeing patient in the Belmond Specialty Clinic the first Wednesday of each month. He is Board Certified in Urology and has clinical interests in incontinence, infertility and kidney stones. Dr. Thoma thoroughly enjoys counseling and educating his patients to help select the best treatment plan. He was drawn to the technology of the field since urology is often the forefront of innovation.
Dr. Timothy Mulholland will be seeing patients the second Wednesday of each month in Belmond. He is Board Certified in Urology and has clinical interests in incontinence, infertility and kidney stones. Dr. Mulholland is dedicated to giving his patients world-class medical care. That’s why, through continuing education and skills development, he stays on the leading edge of urological treatment and helps patients get the best possible results.
Dr. Christopher Adams will be filling in for the other three providers as needed. He is Board Certified in Urology and has clinical interests in men’s health, prostate health and kidney stones. Dr. Adams chose urology because it allows him many options for treating urological diseases, and it offers the perfect combination of surgical and medical disciplines. He enjoys treating people of all ages and both genders as well as urological anatomy.
