On Thursday, May 19th, 2022, Bob Watts completed his 400th Fit For Life session with our Cardiopulmonary Department!
Fit For Life is a Phase III Rehab program that is designed to be proactive in helping your heart and lungs. This program is specifically for Cardiac, Pulmonary, and Respiratory patients to help them continue to stay 'fit for life' following their rehabilitation program. It consists of monitoring oxygen levels, blood pressure, and more. During these sessions, patients use the NuStep machine for 40 minutes, followed by walking on a treadmill for 40 minutes. The ultimate goal of this program is to help patients achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Once Bob completed his program with our Pulmonary Rehab department, he began the Fit For Life program on July 13th, 2017. He would have surpassed this milestone sooner had it not been for Covid restrictions that had been put into place by our hospital that limited the number of patients in our buildings.
Congratulations to Bob on this incredible achievement!
