On July 22nd, Iowa Specialty Hospital and Orthopedic Specialists held their annual orthopedic reunion party at Rustix in Humboldt. Patients from
the previous year, along with their guests, were invited to an evening celebrating their orthopedic journey. Approximately 142 people were in attendance. The evening included a special meal, prayer by Duane Asbe, and words of thanks from Dr. Emile Li, Dr. Mark Palit, and Dr. Gautam Kakade. Steve Simonin, Iowa Specialty Hospital President & CEO and Alison Angstrom, Orthopedic Program Director, also spoke and presented door prizes to round out the event. Staff members from all departments that interact with the orthopedic patients were on hand, celebrating each patient’s individual progress since their orthopedic surgeries.
“Our reunion party is a wonderful way for us to thank our patients for choosing us for their healthcare,” said Angstrom. “Every year, we look forward to reuniting with patients at this event, and this year is extra special for us as we are celebrating our 10th year of providing orthopedic services at Iowa Specialty Hospital.”
