BID INVITATION
You are invited to submit a Bid for prime contracts to provide all labor, materials, plant and services necessary for the construction as described in the Summary of Work and Contract Document for the:
IOWA SPECIALTY HOSPITAL - CLARION – WEBSTER CITY CLINIC

The Board of Directors for Iowa Specialty Hospital - Clarion, Iowa, will accept bids for the construction of the “IOWA SPECIALTY HOSPITAL - CLARION – WEBSTER CITY CLINIC” located at 1924 Superior Street in Webster City, Iowa 50595. The project consists of a new medical clinic approximately 13,395 square feet single story, slab-on grade wood frame medical clinic building to accommodate waiting area, offices, exam rooms, radiology, conference, and staff support areas. The primary components of the building consist of wood frame walls and roof structure, EPDM roof system, brick, manufactured stone and wood composite siding exterior materials. Site improvements include utilities, paved parking area, retaining wall, storm sewer piping and retention pond.
The project will consist of bid packages and prime contracts as follows:

• Bid Package # 8 - Aluminum Storefront
• Bid Package # 9 – Painting
• Bid Package # 10 – Flooring
• Bid Package # 11 – Plumbing and Mechanical/HVAC
• Bid Package # 12 - Fire Sprinkler
• Bid Package # 13 – Electrical and Low Voltage
Sealed bids for All Bid Packages will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time on April 20, 2021 at Board Room B, Iowa Specialty Hospital, located at 1316 South Main Street, Clarion, Iowa 50595. Bids received after that time will not be considered. No oral, facsimile, telegraphic or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Bidders shall not be permitted to withdraw their bids for a period of thirty-five (35) days after the same are opened.
A pre-bid meeting will be held on April 7th at 10:00 AM at the Iowa Specialty Hospital – Clarion Facility, Board Rm B, 1316 S. Main St, Clarion, IA 50525. All prime contract and subcontract bidders are invited. Representatives of the Owner, Architect, Engineers and Construction Manager will be in attendance. The Pre-Bid meeting is not mandatory.
Bids shall be submitted on the Bid Form in Contract documents and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security as set forth in the Instruction to Bidders. Bid Security shall be by a bid bond, cashier’s check or a certified check drawn upon a solvent bank charted under the laws of the United State of America. Bids will be opened, and the amount of the bids announced at the time and date specified above. See the Instruction to Bidders for details.
Iowa Specialty Hospital - Clarion may make the award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications. Iowa Specialty Hospital reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or any part thereof, and to waive informalities or technicalities in any bid and to enter into such contract as it shall deem for the best interest of Iowa Specialty Hospital - Clarion.

Prime Bidders may obtain up to two copies of the bidding documents from the Architect in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. A deposit in the amount of One Hundred dollars ($100.00) for each set of documents made payable to “SA Architects” is required. A Master Builders of Iowa Card Non-Cash Security Method may be used in place of a deposit. The deposit will be refunded in full upon return to SA Architects of the documents in good condition within 14 days after award of the project.
