Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center recently purchased a new device called a Hearing Screen Machine. This device is used on every baby born at Iowa Specialty Hospital. The previous machine was outdated causing the need for additional screening elsewhere. The Hearing Screen Machine was purchased with the gracious donations from the Wright County Charitable Foundation.
“The goal in buying this device was to address hearing issues in infants at an early age so that parents are able to get the assistance they need for their child,” said Casey Howell, OB Leader. “With the new machine we are up-to-date on this need for any infant born in Wright County and the surrounding area.”
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located in its Clarion facility.
