100th Baby of 2019 Arrives

Matthew Ryan Sarmiento Noyola, the 100th baby of 2019 born at Iowa Specialty HospitalIowa Specialty Hospital’s 100th baby of 2019, Matthew Ryan Sarmiento Noyola, was born on March 19, 2019 at 3:05 in the morning to parents, Nancy Noyola and Santos Sarmiento of Eagle Grove.  Baby Matthew weighed 9 pounds 8 ounces and was 20 inches in length.  He will be welcomed home by siblings Yendi, Josue, and William.”

I’m happy to have participated in the delivery of baby Matthew,” shared Dr. Amanda Tew.  “He is a beautiful addition for this family.””

We truly appreciate when a family chooses Iowa Specialty Hospital for their care,” said Casey Howell, OB Leader.  “It’s exciting to be a part of a family’s special memories of the birth of their baby.”

In 2018, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 385 babies which is the most ever delivered at the facility in one year. Howell says she would expect to surpass last year’s total as they are about three weeks ahead of when last year’s 100th baby was born. Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located at the Clarion Campus.
