Every year, from approximately December 1st – December 31st, Iowa Specialty Hospital Foundation – Clarion holds its annual campaign. An annual campaign is usually an organization’s primary source of unrestricted contributed income and a mainstay of its fundraising efforts. Thanks to its 2017 annual campaign, the Foundation was able to purchase a new baby warmer for Iowa Specialty Hospital’s OB Department.
A Panda Baby Warmer keeps a baby healthy by providing direct heat to the infant and not on the caregiver. Its sleek design allows easy access to a baby while keeping them warm and content, and gives more room for caregivers and families to interact with the infant. In addition, special features include hands-free alarm silence, a full color display, and an integrated scale.
“The Foundation continues to be an avid supporter of our department and the hospital overall,” shared Casey Howell, OB Leader. “We are very excited about this new warmer. It will benefit future babies born here, along with their families and our staff. It’s one more way we are putting our patients first.”
Duane Asbe, Foundation Planned Giving Officer stated, “We are happy to be able to support the OB Department with this baby warmer. New equipment like this one wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our donors. Their contributions help to sustain Iowa Specialty Hospital and keep healthcare in our local communities.”
The Foundation, formed in October 1982, was created to support the mission and vision of the Clarion hospital. To learn more about Iowa Specialty Hospital Foundation – Clarion or to make a donation, please contact Duane Asbe at 515-532-9315.
