Iowa Specialty Hospital’s 200th baby of 2014, Sawyer Lane Hermsen, was born on September 29, 2014 at 7:56 a.m. to parents Jeromy

Hermsen and Haley Cleghorn of Humboldt. Baby Sawyer weighed 6 pounds 11 ounces and was 19 inches in length. Sawyer will join his siblings, four-year old sister, Dayton Cleghorn and two-year old brother, Thomas Hermsen.
Dr. Amanda Tew assisted Dr. Daniel Gabrielson in the delivery and comments on the delivery: “Delivering a baby is such a wonderful experience and delivering the 200th baby of the year just makes it even more special!”
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located in the Clarion Campus. In 2013, 250 newborns were delivered at Iowa Specialty Hospital, and Casey Howell, OB Leader, has hopes to exceed last year’s total. “We love delivering babies!” said Howell. “It is such a special thing for our Maternity Center and for the families involved. I love to see that we are growing and delivering more babies than ever before.”
