Iowa Specialty Hospital’s 100th baby of 2017, Citlaly Julissa Lomeli Curiel, was born on April 19th at 9:59 in the evening to parents Gustavo Lomeli and Nalleli Curiel of Clarion. BabyCitlaly weighed 8 pounds 8.4 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches in length.
“This is the first girl in our family,” said Mother Nalleli, as Citlaly is welcomed by her big brothers, Gustavo and Jonathan. When asked if they were excited to have a baby sister, both boys agreed with excitement.
“I am honored to have delivered the 100th baby of 2017 at Iowa Specialty Hospital. As an OB department we all continue to find new ways to provide exceptional care for our patients,” stated provider, Dr. Emily Hill.
Iowa Specialty Hospital’s Maternity Center is located at the Clarion Campus. “We are truly honored when a family chooses Iowa Specialty Hospital for the birth of their baby,” said Casey Howell, OB Leader.
In 2016, Iowa Specialty Hospital delivered 345 babies which is the most ever delivered at the facility in one year. Howell says they are on track to surpass 300 babies again in 2017.
